We are looking for a Director of Catering to work in Puerto Rico.

JOB DESCRIPTION

A catering director is responsible for planning and managing overall catering functions.

A catering director supervises total catering operations including client sales, catering staff, and kitchen operations.

The primary responsibility of a catering director is to train, supervise and work with all catering staff to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and meet sales goals. Other important duties include developing menus and pricing, supervising all aspects of preparation, service, and cleanup for catering operations, directly supervising catering staff and ensuring compliance with all sanitation and safety standards. A catering director may participate in the negotiation of contracts, advise clients and staff about current catering trends and products and solicit current and new catering events in order to maximize revenue. Taking administrative responsibility for all catering events may also fall under the purview of a catering director job.

We are looking for a Hotel General Manager to work in Puerto Rico, Montego Bay

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Keen understanding of marketing / public relations/advertising strategies, and the ability to create sales and marketing plans.
  • At least 12 years of experience in a managerial role at a high-end hotel/resort with in-depth knowledge of luxury marketing, and sales. Brand experience is a must.
  • Sound knowledge of all aspects of resort operation and finance.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Ability to effectively direct labor productivity.
  • Financial management skills e.g., the ability to analyze P&L statements, develop operating budgets, forecasting, and capital expenditure planning.
  • Ability to use standard software applications and hotel systems – Opera (Fidelio), Micros. • Strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to evaluate business trends, determine applicability to customer profiles,s and modify business strategies accordingly.
  • Ability to take constructive action without relying on directions from others.
  • Ability to network and build relationships to grow the business. Strong problem-solving skills; encourages new innovative solutions when appropriate

  • Highly motivated, organized, goal and results-oriented individual who thrives under pressure
  • Effective tracking and follow up skills
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Front Office and Housekeeping operations, policies, procedures, and Expense management
  • Operational knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
  • Constant standing and walking throughout the shift
